A small introduction

About Us

Consultant in a Flash was created in Bundaberg in 2016 by two local business consultants who saw the need for a fast, super valued way of providing answers to business owners.

Peter and Yale invite you to browse through our website to enjoy the journey that we have undertaken to provide a worldwide service.

Allow us to introduce ourselves.

So who is at the helm?

Yale Morgan and Peter Bender are Bundaberg based business consultants who have served clients locally, nationally and internationally.

One thing they found from running their own private consultancy businesses was that clients increasingly were looking for answers to just that one question. Sadly, clients would often not call because they felt a bit guilty using Yale and Peter’s time for what they felt maybe a small yet important question.

Traditionally this scenario is resolved by putting clients on a monthly retainer. Peter and Yale realised that this didn’t suit everyone, especially small business owners. So they decided to look for a better option. The result was Consultant in a Flash!

How it all came to be…..

Test, test and retest.

We initially tested the “Consultant in a Flash!” idea with our existing clients and they loved it. They loved it so much that it was less than a week before we started to get referrals.

From this start we saw the need for a community for our new clients. This would allow them to keep across all the fast paced services that were being added. This also was a great success.

We are constantly testing, changing and improving our services in response to what our community ask for. You can see the latest changes via our Blog and Advisors pages.

It’s a great and exciting time. We are so grateful to the many people who are using us and helping us to create a great support tool for business owners.

You too can become a community member for free by supplying your email address here. We will thank you by giving you a free action resource called Answers Every Business Owner Seeks which has answers to some of the regular tough questions our advisors are asked.

How it all came to be…

It all starts with a customer need.

Ever had a phone call the goes like “just wanted to ask a quick question”?

As business gets faster and faster the result is that managers and owners have an increasing need for fast answers. That is the need that we wanted to fill. It is also imperative that the answers are provided at unbelievably great value for money.

So after Peter thought about how this could be achieved he wondered who would be a good partner with strong technical skills. That Sunday, Yale sat next to Peter and asked “So what is happening?” Peter explained the concept and sure enough, Yale was in for it.

From there on in it has been a fast paced and exciting journey as they stay one step ahead of client needs by providing fast service at a fantastic price.

From Bundaberg to Australia…

Technology eats geography for breakfast.

One of the challenges for regional businesses is that, well we are regional. Often what is taken for granted by businesses located in our capital cities is missing in regional areas. This used to be considered the lifestyle change cost.

Some of these things have included having ample advisors on tap. There maybe dozens of a type of consultant in a large population base but only one or even none of that category of consultant in a regional area.

“Consultant in a Flash!” has it’s roots buried in regional Australia. We have helped to ensure that no matter where your business is, whether Avoca or Yandina, you now have access to great advice at a great rate.

Likewise we have taken some great gems of businesses that were previously only available in small regional towns to now servicing our cities and larger population areas. This is our way of supporting the demographic shift of business owners as they continue to move from cities to tree or sea changes.

A journey of two paths.

Our community idea.

It’s tough being in business leadership and we know how it can be lonely for the boss. So many people looking to you for answers, often on topics you either know nothing about or have ever even considered. Hence, we wanted to create a community so businesses can support each other but still be individual.

Like any true enterpreneurial venture, we tried several formats to see what people found most suitable and exciting. Such ideas included Facebook, Mailchimp and web interfaces. As things changed we morphed these initial ideas into one community which is available to all businesses.

The community is where we now test new ideas, identify needs and communicate in a non annoying way. We are confident that clients enjoy both the relationship and efficiency of how we are helping them.

Benefits of being in the “Consultant in a Flash!” community include:

  • special offers
  • early notice of new suppliers joining us
  • access to heaps of free advice
  • one place to update your billing and correspondence details

You can join our community here by providing us with your email address. As a bonus we will give you a free resource called Answers Every Business Owner Seeks and a free 15 minute consult. How good is that!

A journey of two paths

The supplier story.

If necessity is the mother of all invention then it definitely applies to how we developed the supplier side of our business. It was only a few weeks after our soft launch that we started getting questions from clients that were on the fringe of our knowledge and ability. This is quite a feat as Yale and I have thirty years business experience between us. We found this an exciting opportunity.

What we developed was a solution where we could bring in additional advisors to help service the needs of the “Consultant in a Flash!” community. The result is a package suitable for both small and large businesses who answer customer questions. Our suppliers focus on the locations and type of clients that they are best at serving.

It was a wild ride at first trying to get ‘go getter’ businesses of suitable quality and we definitely had some teething problems. We were grateful to the patience and camaraderie of our pioneer advisors who helped us test ideas and IT solutions to meet client needs.

Now we are in an awesome position to bring on countless new suppliers and match them to the types of clients they want in the locations that they want to serve.

We love the concept because we are now able to help regional businesses:

Where to from here?

Time stands still for no-one

Being involved with so many businesses over the years has drilled into us the necessity to constantly improve, innovate and serve.

This is achieved by looking at customer service. We consider both clients and suppliers as our customers.

Future things that we will test include speed of service initiatives, quality of advice imperatives, system robustability concepts and integration of systems to create a seamless experience.

We are excited by what is on the horizon and would love to hear or read from you if you have any ideas that you would like us to consider. Odds are that there are many others who would also like to see what you are wanting. So don’t be shy, drop us an email to ask@consultantinaflash.com.au or message us via Facebook.
